This six days outreach at Okwenya, a suburb of Somanya in the Eastern region of Ghana, dated 23rd to 28th December, 2020, was done with great passion, exactly 6 weeks after I was involved in a ghastly accident with my car totally damaged and myself badly injured in the face, chest, hands and legs, when I was returning from the same town after a successful crusade, where souls were won unto the Lord Jesus.
The year 2020 was a bad year with a global pandemic of Covid 19, where multitudes died all over the world. World economies were failing and prices of items had shot up. It was difficult to cope with the situation but God showed up in mercy for the world. Church activities halted worldwide but online congregation became the new order of churchism.
I was discouraged by some family members and friends not to go for ay outreach that particular year because I had just survived an accident, and also because there was global woes and hardship, but I had a great conviction within me by the Holy Spirit to go spread the Gospel of Christ Jesus. Initially, preparation was poor and nothing was coming in, but after prayers and fasting, the power of the Holy Spirit was administered.
The Okwenya outreach was beautiful and it was characterized with God's presence. The Christmas season was silent, greeted with the pains of the year's activities but souls were won unto Christ all the same. Souls were delivered and baptized with the power of the Holy Spirit. Attention and attendance was good both with the one-on-one house to house evangelism and the evening crusades. Gifts were shared to the indigenes of Okwenya. It was a great experience of an outreach. As part of our contribution to ensure the spiritual growth of the saved souls, we communicate with them.
